Hello, everyone, this is Andrew from the operation and support teams of SMEsChina platform, I am a legal assistant. This is my first time to post an article on our publication page to share my insights.

Oh. Forgot that, if you have any legal affairs need to help, welcome to contact me and to discuss further details. My personal page link is: https://www.smeschina.com/andrew-legal-assistant/.

First, thanks my colleague Tina, she helped me to re-edit the content and provided many useful suggestions to better translating this topic.

Why need to post this article? Because I just competed a case entrusted by a German customer who has established an LLC in Shanghai Fengxian district last month, December. So, you know, my boss Dr. Johnathan told me, “why don’t you share the story on our website? You completed the case within 18 working days and everything was done smoothly, you did a good job, Andrew”. Therefore, you guessed it, I started to collect the information and edit the article with my poor English, and Tina helped me to correct some of the grammars and vocabularies ultimately.

Why the title of this page says: 20 Days Registration of LLC rather than 18 days?

Because of the experience of SMEsChina teams, most of the limited liability companies have to prepare related legal documents and required registration forms to obtain the approval of company formation, our website has listed a detail table for the timeline of business registration as below, and everything is standard process and estimated timeline for your reference.

Description of Each Step:Time Required:
Chinese software company name submit, search and obtain approval3 working days
Download and signature of the required documents of company formation (see below) and courier to SMEsChina5 working days
Obtain the certificate of foreign owned (investment) enterprise and the certificate of business registration (known as: business license)5 working days
Apply for the company stamps (known as corporate seals) and obtain approval2 working days
Open a local corporation bank account and internet banking5 working days

In fact, the German customer really was completed during 18 days due to the customer had prepared everything to set up a private business in mainland China, and the customer was lucky that just spent 1 day to obtain the corporate name application, and the bank account also was opened within 1 day. I think the real reason was the deeply cooperation with the customer and the coordination of our internal teams.

Another point is our customer, everything done smoothly by our legal department, but each step, our customer went to the government offices and bank personally, so that’s why we can save 2 days.

By the way, thanks Jane Jiang, she drove me and the customer to the Market and Supervision Department Office to verify the passport of legal representative, and she made an earliest appointment with the government official to submit and check out the passport information and arrival record.

After we got the approval of business license, Amy Zuo helped the customer to open the bank account within 3 hours through her personal relation and experienced communications.

The last step was the tax registration and invoicing machine application and tax system set up, our team members done the process within 2 days.

Write in the last, I was luck and happy to coordinate the German case with our teams from different departments. Because of the invoice issuing smoothly, the customer has started the engineering project after setting up the invoicing system, and the customer has received the down payment from his local customer.

Here, I want to say, thanks all of you.
