March 12, 2019 – basf builds new research and development facilities at its Shanghai innovation park to enhance its innovation capabilities in the asia-pacific region, further strengthening cooperation with the automotive industry and providing new process catalysts for the chemical industry. The new facilities include the Asia Pacific automotive application research and development centre and process catalysis research and development centre, with a total investment of nearly 34 million euros and an area of 5,000 square meters.
The antioxidant device is located in the A1100 block of basf chemical industry zone, with a total investment of 685 million yuan.
It adopts the module manufacturing method for the first time. It is understood that the investment to build the antioxidant production device, part adopts the concept of “modular” building and construction in the form of the part of the production unit outside the building in advance, and then the installed equipment to transport to the construction site, joining together with other facilities and equipment, assembly, formed in the end, forming a complete device. Compared with the traditional way, the new way of construction, construction and installation will be simpler, more efficient, more economical and more environmentally friendly. The plant is scheduled to start operation in 2019 and is expected to produce 52,500 tons a year.
